I don't think most Canadians truly grasp the severity of what is taking place. Even once the thugs in Ottawa have thoroughly beaten down the bodies and spirits of the peaceful protesters, the gaping wound of civil unrest and division festers. These protesters, and Millions of other Canadian onlookers, have seen the brutality of the State on full display, while pro mandate supporters and big government proponents enthusiastically cheered it on.

Nobody even remotely close to anyone involved will be able to forget what has transpired since The Emergencies Act was invoked.

Protesters, secure in the undeniable knowledge that vaccine mandates are based on control, and have nothing to do with Science or saving lives, have rightfully stood in opposition to being targeted with severe social and economic penalties for not taking vaccines that have proven to be minimally effective, other than for a short time frame, at getting covid-19 or spreading it. Not to mention, the very real fact that Omicron has shown to be very mild, and can offer similar protection. And, that isn't even taking into account the fact that the overwhelming majority of Canadians who've got covid-19, regardless of the variant, have long since recovered, with only the most vulnerable among us succumbing to the virus.

As we've learned, now that the numbers have been clarified to properly represent those who were genuinely hospitalized due to covid-19, rather than including those who simply tested positive, drops by as much as half have resulted. Another point to keep in mind is the undeniable fact that the majority of those being hospitalized are in fact those who are fully vaccinated. Shifting the goal post by counting them as a percentage per 100 000, rather than the actual numbers, is precisely the kind of disinformation that the ruling elite accuses others of.

The stark reality of living in a country where petty tyrants rule by decree, with a substantial portion of our fellow Canadians reveling in the oppression of their brothers and sisters, means none of this goes away any time soon. Climate change emergencies will be the next point of contention and division. There is seemingly no end in sight for the kind of top down micromanagement and control over our social and economic lives.

Are Canadians too beaten down, depressed, and financially devastated to mount a proper defense of encroaching tyranny? Will individual freedom die in the early 21st century? Will the flame of Liberty get snuffed out, and bring about a new futuristic dark ages?

I wish I knew the answers to these questions, but I do not. Some days I am very optimistic because I see such unbridled passion in the eyes of the small minority who cherish their inherent Rights and Freedoms. Whereas, other days, like today, I feel a chill, a sense that the walls are closing in, and there is nowhere to escape. I see the brutality of horse mounted State enforcers trampling on a helpless elderly women on a mobility scooter, while the establishment, their media mouthpieces, and their supporters, show no sympathy or second thought in their blind allegiance to a narrative. They know how much pain and division they are causing, yet they don't even blink in their pursuit of full totalitarian control over those of us with unacceptable views.

I don't know how this all plays out. Nobody truly does. However, if there is one thing I am more certain of now than I have ever been, it's that cherishing every single moment I have with those I love and admire is my priority. I choose love, not hate. I choose to live my life in spite of it all. I choose to live as free as humanly possible, as much as possible. And, I choose to inspire others to do the same.

Thank you to all my fellow liberty lovers in Canada for showing the bravery and courage to do what is right, even in the face of a tyrant willing to use draconian measures meant for wartime to beat you down. I love you all.
