To the babyboomer and older generations: Suggesting your successive generations have a sense of "entitlement" to everything is not only akin to blaming the victim, it is also a classic example of "the pot calling the kettle black" or "people in glass houses throwing stones". It is those among your demographic, those who are the largest voting group (for now) and those who are in positions of influence and power (you) that have become the most entitled, selfish and overbearingly authoritarians in modern history that are the direct cause for all the poverty, pain and suffering that is happening in our once great country.

In your younger years, it was YOU who burned the bras, YOU who fiercely protested those who oppressed and ruled over you, You who cried out for the return of your brothers and sisters who were fighting more unjust wars in foreign lands, YOU who caused those on both sides of the political aisle to come to the center in order to compromise for the betterment of each other, YOU who relied on your elders to pass the torch when their time had come, YOU who made damn sure the laws of our land did not infringe on your individual rights.

Now that you are no longer feeling as relevant or vibrant as you once did, your attention has turned to a selfish desire to force your children and grandchildren to compensate for the misgivings and greed those in your very age group perpetuated on you. Using the power and force of government and big business to keep all the wealth, while leaving table scraps for the rest of us is about as entitled as you can get. Keep in mind, while that may serve you well for a short time, ultimately you will be left with nothing but possessions that can do nothing to fill the void you have have created in your heart and soul. Not to mention the hardships, suffering and divide that will take a toll on each and every one of us.

One must always keep in mind the profound reality of the fact that when you have reached that point in your life that we ALL must face, when only family and friends and loved ones will be there to comfort you in your your final years and time of need. No accumulation of wealth, property or possessions will hold any real value to you. It's not too late to end this reality. .and it would be in your own best interest to start healing the wounds ,for future Historians will tell the story of what has transpired in our time. In the age of instant access to information and truth, there will not be any way to rewrite it, or propagate lies to those who seek the truth. Your legacy and how you will be remembered is up to you...make the right choice, not just for yourself...but for all of us.
