Yes. In addition to the world's resources, our lives, our freedoms, our hard earned wealth, and peace of mind are all being destroyed and manipulated by small groups of full grown adults who fight over which mystical overlord is supreme. Whether it be Muslims, Christians, Jews or Statists...it is their steadfast and unquestioning belief in their God that allows them to be so easily led astray. It is one thing to romanticize about or to choose a particular doctrine to help guide your morality or choices in life, however, it is quite another to blindly accept and carry out orders from human beings who propose to be the voice of a Deity.

From the low ranking officers in the police and military, to the political, judicial and religious figures who hold the highest positions of power and influence, they all lay claim to be carrying out the orders of a higher being, yet no one has ever put forth the slightest evidence or proof of such. Anyone who follows the chain of command right up to the top comes to realize that each and every perpetrator's denial of guilt or accountability is just a fabricated excuse, and that there is no tangible figurehead sitting on a mountaintop handing out permission slips for conformity and obedience.

Even in the age of Science and technology, the pervasive continuation of such mindless conformity shows just how easily a person's mind can be molded and shaped to fit an established narrative put forth by those who wish to rule over others.
The age old battle for the hearts and minds of the masses rages on in the early 21st century. Who will prevail is anyone's guess, but one has to believe the age of information heavily favor's those who use logic, reasoning, and empirical evidence instead of blind faith and mysticism as the bases for their ideology.
